Many people protest when we explain to them the power of telling the story of their finances as they want it to be rather than as it is, because they believe that they should be factual about what is happening. But if you continue to look at lackful what-is and speak of what-is, you will not find the improvement that you desire. If you want to effect substantial change in your life experience, you must think thoughts that feel different as you think them.

Our Love,
Jerry and Esther
So I'm in the market for a new computer. The drive on this one is bad. I knew I needed a new one last fall, and I passed it up again in the spring. I was waiting until I could have what I really really want, and that's a Macbook. I spent over an hour on the phone with Sir, going over all my options an docming to a decision that I feel good about. Yes, it's expensive, but it's the best quality. And I believe that I deserve the best. He says it'll last me 5 years easy. Sure I could get a PC for $500 that would do the job, it would get me through, but I'd need to replace it in 2 or 3 years. And you know what? I'll say it again. I deserve the best computer that my money can buy.
A few thoughts on this:
I don't watch tv, except for the occasional movie late at night, the computer is my primary entertainment, my primary way that I communicate with the world, it's the main tool for school and classes, and I need something I can take to class with me. The Macbook I'm going to order weighs less than 5 lbs, this one is almost 12 lbs. That makes a big difference when I've already got 30 lbs of books and notebooks in my pack. When I'm home and feeling sick, which seems to be fairly often these days, the computer is how I can connect with the world, it's how I can interact and maintain relationships without it taking too much out of me. This is important.
And I am also believing that I deserve the best. I deserve to go to a private school, I deserve to be awarded scholarships, I deserve to have love, I deserve health, I deserve my motorcycle, I deserve it simply because I am a child of the Universe. There is unlimited abundance. And I will have enough to do what I am here to do.
And yesterday I was talking to a friend who asked what kind of computer I was was planning on buying. I explained about how I've been interested in a Macbook, and how my friend talked with me to help me find the best deal, $100 off MSRP, no sales tax and free shipping. She asked how much it was going to cost. And when I told her she gave me the look. The look that says she so totally doesn't agree with something but she's not willing to speak her thoughts and she doesn't want to get into it. She nods her head and gives a half smile. Then she askes questions about how I am going to afford it, and aren't I depending on the financial aid money to live on and etc etc. Then she goes on to say things like yeah, I might need a new computer but *I* don't need something that nice, *I* have limited funds, you know, *I* only have so much money to work with and so *I* have to watch every dollar.
I felt so judged. I felt like she was impressing her standards, her life views, her choices and beliefs about money onto me. and it hurt. because I care about this person. but I've learned that she has chosen to limit herself, like many of us do I don't mean to exclude myself at all, but I've learned that she limits herself. specifically about money and abundance..and I won't let her limit me. Not ok.
So I've been watching how much I listened to her beliefs, and I was questioning my own. Because her beliefs are quite similar to how I was raised...those very type of thoughts that I have been working so hard to change over the past few years. It was so easy to slip back into old thought patterns, comfortable. But even though part of me wanted to believe her, I simply waited. Waited until I felt up to articulating my thoughts.
I tell my story as I want it to be. I will think thoughts that feel different from how I used to think about money. There is unlimited abundance and therefore I can and will have all that I ask, and all that I desire. I will not settle for something less than, I deserve the best.
I will buy the MacBook.

"Every religion on the planet, and there are so many more than you are even aware of, has the potential of absolute thriving. But when you think that you must prove that you have the only one that is right—and you use your condemnation to push against the others—your condemnation separates you from your own Connection that, before your condemnation, you were finding in your own religion.

Mates
Most who are looking for mates that they haven't quite found yet are so interested in getting to where they're going that they're missing the fun of going there.
--- Abraham
Agreed. I am happy with where I am in my life right now. I like having my own bed...well, I do share it with Switch, but I enjoy going to bed when I want, picking up my things (or not) when I want. Yes, sleeping with someone is nice and all, but I don't think I'd get as good a night's sleep. And it's pretty iffy right now anyway. It seems like a long way away in my world to be co habitating with someone again. Sure there's benefits, and I won't be shy to say that some domestic partner benefits would be damn useful right now, but I'm good where I am. And I'm also able to appreciate my friends and lovers for exactly who they are are whatever roles they might play in my life. I give thanks for each connction I have and for its respective individuality. I'm having a FUN journey. :)
ok, I think that's all I wanted to say. Going to bed now.

Unlimited Thoughts
Your choices of action may be limited--but your choices of thought are not.

Our Love,

This is an appropriate quote for any day, any time. I love its simplicity.
But today I am going to apply it to my current challenge of finding healthcare. In short:
1 my Dr can't do much more without insurance to pay for tests
2 I've been denied AHCCCS (Medicare)
3 I might be approved for Medicare if I had a Dx, which I can't get until I can see a Doc and get some tests done.
4 I might be approved for Medicare if I can get myself termed "disabled" by the SSD people, not for disability payments, beacuse I can work at least part time, but because I can receive health care.
5 If I find health care and receive a Dx, it is then a preexisting condition for the future.
6 I can purchase subsidized insurance coverage as a student, but if I do this I need to wait to get a Dx and therefore treatment.
I don't know what to do next, what action to take. I don't feel like I have a lot of options, but I'm looking at all of them. Considering even getting a retail job so I can have access to purchasing benefits...which will probably take at least 3 months anyway.
But what I DO have is the belief that Universe will provide what I need. My choices of thought might be unlimited, but there is really only the simple thought of faith. That is enough. I believe I will figure out this health care puzzle. Maybe I can write a Dear President letter...those seemed quite popular during the campaign....
I need this. Like I need a roof, food, companionship...and Universe will provide. It's not up to me to concern myself with the 'how' or the 'when' only with the what.
Thank you Universe, for my life.

The Spirituality of Science
It's been a battle among humans, for a very long time, trying to get this picture of God into a place that is pleasing for them. And the debate about "Is it evolution? Is it creation? Is it God-inspired, or is it scientifically inspired…?" And we say, why does it have to be one or the other? Why can't everything that is wrapped up in science and vibration be the true essence of that which you call God? It is all one and the same.--- Abraham

I love this quote. I love receiving such inspiration in my inbox every morning.
I have said several times since I started back to school studying the sciences that the more I learn the more it strengthens my spirituality. I love anatomy and physiology. The levels of organization, body mechanics fascinate me. The muscular system, a body stripped of it's integument (skin) is one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. When I studied general biology, with a broad but perhaps less passionate interest, I was awed by the cell. The other students were bored learning about the RER, and the SER, and the Golgi Complex...but I was lost in mental reverie and considering cellular consciousness theory. And mitochondria, damn, there's a WAY cool organelle...a possible early cellular parasite with it's own DNA separate from ours, and functions within each and every cell that we could not live without.
Now that I am learning basic Chemisty, I am fascinated by the organization of the periodic table. That each element has a number of protons in the nucleus and that they are numerically sequential, and in the shape of a snake winding it's way around periods and groups, both of which have correlations to numbers of electrons, ability to form bonds, and other predictable qualities simply because of the placement in the natural order.
Simply put, I believe that the study of science, of our natural world and how it is constructed, created, organized, and how it functions, IS the study of God.
When an atheist scientist works without an understanding of the Light, or when a Spiritualist is without a basic grasp of science....I feel a little sadness that those folks might be missing a bigger picture. At least when a person has one or the other, it could be said that they are serving Universe in their own way. But I like having what I perceive to be both.
And to speak to the first sentence above, about "getting a picture of God into a place that is pleasing for them," yes, I do this. Very much so. I am a visual person in my learning and in my expression. I often attempt to visualize my personal god-concept, and every time I fall short. I choose, instead, to make use of which ever diety feels right at the moment. Sometimes I feel a green Goddess like Briget or Rhiannon, sometimes I see a white Blessed Mother, sometimes it's Tara, perhaps Saraswati, and for many years I saw Quan-yin. Some days I see rainbow swirls and fractals, somedays it's Hanuman or Murugan, sometimes it's my bare feet in grass, my hands touching a tree, and when I am fortunate enough to be on the coast, my feet in the ocean tides, my arms thrown wide, face to the setting sun....and some times I see god in blood, pain, and tears at the end of a needle.
I see the Divine in each of us. When someone offers me a kindness, I give thanks. When my cat, Switch decides he needs to be on top of whatever I am doing, I give thanks. When I am on my bike and I feel like we are ONE, I give thanks. When I am filled by a phallus with a sense of completeness, I give thanks. When I feel joy and fulfillment from my studies or my work....ALL of these concepts and experiences are God, Goddess, Source, Creator, Universe.
I am Blessed.
And so are YOU.

Allowing Illness
"Illness or pain is just an extension of negative emotion. When you are no longer feeling any resistance to it, it's a non-issue. San Rafael, CA -- 8/3/02

I've been contemplating this message for most of the day today, on and off in between classes, schoolwork, and naps. I'm facing a lengthy (probably) diagnostic process, an unpleasant diagnosis, and multiple limitations. I am consciously aware of my body, my energy levels and my health just about every moment of every day. I think this is a positive change, even though it has been necessary because of illness. I enjoy this new awareness, even as I still feel resistant to some of the limitations. Some things I've done before now seem scary, impossible, or at the least a lot more challenging than they have before.
For example: I don't like not being able to ride the bike some days because I'm too tired, although I am learning to view this as positive self-care. If I'm too tired to ride, then it's not safe to ride, and therefore I am making the best choice for me at that moment. I recognize a positive choice and give myself credit for this. :)
What comes first in my priorities, sleep? rest? or that paper on Myasthenia Gravis that is due on Friday? Which is more important, my rest tonight so that I can go to work tomorrow or the 15 points I'll get for completing the paper. These decisions are no different for any student, except that I have even less time available to complete the work, less energy to put into anything that I do. How do I explain how I am different from anyone else? I don't know. Anyone can choose to put off doing a paper, but I don't believe I really had a choice. I'm not a slacker, I'm not blowing off this assignment, I'm doing my best. I suppose I did have a choice, there is always a choice...but my price is higher too. If I choose to push myself I pay dearly for my efforts. And so my choice is to maintain some sort of regularity in my activity levels, my sleep, my health, and my mood. I recognize a positive choice and I give myself credit for this.
If I get to the point where I am accepting limitations, when I am no longer feeling any resistance... well....I look forward to this being a non-issue. And I believe I will get there. I think that a diagnosis will go a long way to helping me find true acceptance. And that will come.
I allow myself to be the person I am, right now.

Co-Creating
"Is harmony one note that everybody is singing? Or is it a whole lot of notes that are in vibrational harmony with each other? When you give your attention to anything, the Universe responds to it. When two of you are giving your attention to it, and there is no contradiction, it is a powerful vortex. That's why a gathering such as this can achieve a great deal as you come together in greater and greater harmony and take thought beyond that which it has been before.
